Starting as a greenfield site in 1982, Merck Pty. Ltd. is situated in Kilsyth, approximately 45 km from Melbourne. The site has been specifically designed to comply with Australian legislation and, in addition to offices, consists of six purpose-built dangerous goods stores.

Activities include the formulation of various solutions from Extran® to pH buffers and analytical concentrations of acids and bases.  These are highly regarded in Australia as our production facility is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standard and our analytical laboratory is ISO 17025 certified. The facility also repackages solvents, concentrating on those available locally, such as ethanol, acetone, methanol and propanol.
